is a non profit organization that was founded in 1999 to fight against the mounting devastation caused by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Sahara Africa especially in Ethiopia. With the dedication of its wonderful volunteer staff, it has become tremendously successful and is making an actual difference in the lives of many Ethiopians who are struggling with the effects of HIV/AIDS. Pople To People, Inc. is currently now a serving NGO in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
Also, People To People continues to work on several important projects and is fortunate to have some wonderful interactive Partnerships. The information for these projects can be found under the categories, Fighting AIDS, Projects, and the People's Clinic (located in Morehead, Kentucky, U.S.A.). To the left of this message, you will find more detailed information about People To People, Donors, People To People Chapters, and links to other useful websites, as well as the "Horn of Africa Journal of AIDS Publication," the first regional, scientific, peer reviewed journal devoted to HIV/AIDS. It is published by People to People biannually and distributed free of charge to the medical community in Ethiopia and to medical schools in East Africa. Also, please take a moment to enjoy P2P's latest efforts with the online publication of: P2P's "Global Public Health Information" Newsletter.
For those in need of Medical Information and have a question, please see and visit our Virtual Clinic located to the left; this section has been updated and greatly expanded. Most questions will be answered within a few days. All infomation is kept strictly confidential with no identification recorded.
Also, check out the section called "Introducing" under the category About Us on our website. Once in awhile, we publish a profile of a person or an organization involved with People To People. Who we choose to feature in this section is random, which makes it fun and interesting. The featured person could be an orphan, an HIV/AIDS patient, a doctor, an officer in the organization, a member of the board, an orphan sponsor, a person who has made a donation, or a visitor to the website (that means you, if you send us comments and suggestions). Here you will get to meet some of the people involved in People To People and hopefully get an idea of the overall goal of our organization (this section changes by clicking on and reading about or changing pages within the site).
In the AIDS/HIV News category found to the left of this message, we at People To People will attempt to bring you the latest news, editorials, and research regarding HIV/AIDS. We hope you will find this section helpful and informative. For those seeking interaction and discusssion, one may join the People to People's yahoo List Serve Forum & Chat found at the following address: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/People_to_People_Forum/ or by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page. This will requre creating a yahoo email address or account for free.
We are happy you got the chance to visit our website. Make yourself at home, browse, and learn about People To People and our projects. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions, ideas, suggestions and potential programs. Our hopes are for you to stay and be part of our growing organization.
